Information & verification
What can be established, what needs clarification and what remains uncertain? TRS supports a careful assessment of potential security partners.
When should you involve TRS?
For clients who want to assess a potential security partner and seek greater certainty about claims, qualifications and business information.
What TRS does for you.
We agree the content and depth in advance. The main elements are set out below.
01Information in context
Company information, licences, qualifications, experience, references and reputation can help assess a provider. We use only information that is lawfully available and relevant to the agreed engagement. An isolated finding is not a conclusion.
02Verification where possible
Where possible, we compare statements and documents with independent information. We consider how current and reliable the information is, as well as its limitations. Discrepancies and missing details are identified as questions for further assessment.
03Care when assessing individuals
Any assessment of key individuals or personnel is defined in advance and considered only where relevant and lawful. TRS does not offer unrestricted background checks and has no access to secret databases, criminal records, police data or special investigative powers or tools.
04Specialist investigation by authorised parties
When a question requires specific access, powers or specialist investigation, TRS can advise on an authorised external specialist and coordinate the arrangements. TRS does not itself conduct private investigation work that requires a licence. This boundary is assessed before accepting an engagement.
05An assessment with clear limitations
You gain insight into what could be established, what could not be verified and what further steps may be possible. Verification supports your decision; it does not guarantee future conduct or performance.
What the process gives you.
An overview of findings
For each relevant topic, what could be established, which information could not be verified and which questions remain open.
Focused advice on next steps
Further clarification that may be needed for your decision, or a defined question for an authorised external specialist.
These are possible deliverables. Format, scope and depth are agreed in advance; not every engagement includes every element.
